I love the small group sessions at Intentional Fitness - they are friendly and supportive, with just the right balance of encouragement and accountability—there’s nowhere to hide if you’re slacking, which is exactly what I need! As a woman in my fifties returning to exercise after various injuries, I was nervous at first. But Sam and the other trainers are top of their game. They always make sure your form is spot on, so you feel safe and confident while training. I can’t recommend Intentional Fitness enough!Posted on Google![]()

I had been trying to pluck up the courage to do strength training for years, but from the first introduction call, Sam has held me accountable, and I can now say that I’ve been doing it for two months already! The classes are friendly, supportive and comfortable, and I genuinely cannot believe how much progress I’ve been able to make in a short amount of time. Even in larger classes, Sam is on the ball to make tweaks to exercises to make them more beneficial to you, which has enabled me to be more aware of my body and what I should focus most on. My mind is truly blown at the impact that it has had on my day-to-day life and on the things I enjoy!Posted on Google![]()

Sam is a great fitness coach not only because she has the expertise and the attention to detail that an elite personal trainer needs, but also because she has built a very friendly and supportive community in the gym that makes me look forward to training every time! The other coaches of the gym are also very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive keeping the standards of they gym all around very high! Most importantly, I joined this gym at a time when I was trying to overcome a chronic shoulder injury, which made me nervous about lifting weights etc. Sam created a personised program, adjusting exercises and being very specific about correcting the small movements of every exercise, helping me getting stronger without burdening the shoulder. Four months down the line and I have no more muscle pain - all to say, if you are looking for rehabilitation look no further, this is an excellent team to help you with your injuries!Posted on Google![]()

I have been a member for two months and I have enjoyed every session. I have endometriosis, which can make working out a challenge. Strength training with Sam has helped me gain back strength and confidence which was my main goal. Each session Sam checks in to see how every member is, she has the right amount of support and structure to help you succeed with each exercise, thinking of alternatives if needed that may work best for each persons needs. This is a small independent which runs only small classes - meaning you get a lot of support throughout the whole session. Intentional Fitness is a lovely place, highly recommend!Posted on Google![]()

Sam and her team have built an incredible fitness community where I genuinely feel comfortable and motivated to train. There’s a real sense of accountability once you become a member—something I didn’t fully appreciate until I joined. The small group personal training setup has been especially helpful for me as a beginner. It’s allowed me to improve my technique while still receiving focused attention, similar to a one-on-one session. I also love the boxing classes—they’ve made working out something I actually look forward to. I’m feeling stronger and excited to keep progressing! 💪🏽Posted on Google![]()

5 Stars – Life-Changing Strength Training at Intentional Fitness If you’re like me and scared of the gym, Intentional Fitness will change your mind. Sam has built a friendly, supportive community within it whilst focusing on smart, personalised training and creating real results. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and truly live up to the name, tailoring every workout to individual goals while focusing on proper form and long-term progress. Thanks to their guidance, I’ve built strength, confidence, and a much better understanding of how to train effectively. The attention to detail and constant encouragement make all the difference. I’m loving it! If you’re curious or serious about getting stronger the right way, I’d highly recommend Intentional Fitness.Posted on Google![]()

Me and my partner have been going to Sam for couples' PT for a few months now and love it! Sam is really motivating and personalises training for our needs. And a good laugh too! We both feel like we're getting much stronger and meeting our goals, but also having a good time doing it. Thanks, Sam, you're fab! XPosted on Google![]()

When I first started working with Sam a year ago I was lacking strength, general fitness and was plagued by an old injury. From the very beginning she listened and tailored a programme that has not only fixed my injury but has kept me motivated, boosted my confidence and the result is I’m now feeling pretty strong. She is incredibly knowledgeable and knows exactly what you’re capable of achieving. The small group sessions work well and the new premises are amazing. I can’t believe I actually enjoy going to the gym!!!Posted on Google![]()

Good to Know
Frequently Asked Questions.
In a typical gym class, everyone generally follows the same workout. In SGPT, you follow structured training adapted to your goals, ability and needs. With no more than six people per session, your coach can guide technique, adjust exercises and monitor progress. You get individual coaching and the energy of a small group. If you need dedicated one-to-one attention, we’ll discuss that with you.
Yes. Whether you’re learning to lift for the first time, looking for more accountability, chasing a new PB or getting stronger for running, cycling or another sport, we build your training around your starting point and goals. Beginners receive the support to build confidence; experienced lifters get structure, progression and detailed technique coaching.
We take time to understand your circumstances and adapt exercises, range of movement, loading and progression where appropriate. That may include working around previous injuries, considering joint control with hypermobility, or adjusting training around recovery and energy changes during perimenopause or menopause. We don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions and may recommend input from your physiotherapist or healthcare professional.
We look at strength, technique, performance, consistency and how you feel, not just a number on the scales. Where relevant to your goals, we also use professional Tanita body composition scales, which provide estimates of measures such as body fat and muscle mass. Regular reviews help us recognise progress and adjust your training.
For many people, two or three strength sessions per week is a sustainable starting point, but the right frequency depends on your goals, experience, recovery and schedule. We’ll help you build a routine you can maintain. Improvements in confidence and technique may come first; changes in strength and body composition usually take consistent work over time.
That’s one of the reasons people choose personal training. Our coaches get to know you and your goals, help you plan sessions around real life and check in on your progress. You’ll have structure, encouragement and accountability, so you’re not left to work everything out alone.
Start with a relaxed, no-pressure consultation to talk through your goals. Our 28-Day Trial includes an initial assessment, eight SGPT sessions, eight additional class credits to use across Boxing, MetCon or Yoga, Tanita body composition assessments, nutrition guidance and a workbook, plus an end-of-trial review. It’s a chance to experience the coaching before deciding which ongoing option suits you.
